A WARRINGTON school has won the chance to record a song with the producers of a London show.
William Beamont High School won The Anti-Bullying Alliance competition, run in conjunction with “Stand Tall” a rock musical in London.
The school will work with the show’s producers and record a song from the show.
This year’s theme “Stop and think – words can hurt”‘ aims to get everyone involved in preventing verbal bullying, name calling and use of derogatory language.
PC Mike Thompson, Safer Schools police officer for the school, said everyone was delighted with the prize and were looking forward to recording the song.
He said: “It is so important to use engaging methods, like music, to raise awareness about such an important issue and we urge other schools to get involved in Anti-Bullying Week.
“William Beamont Community High School and police strongly believe that challenging this sort of behaviour is key to providing a safe and happy environment for the pupils.”
