Housing changes
PLANNING chiefs have agreed to amendments to a previously approved residential development at the western end of Greenalls Avenue, Warrington. The changes will reduce the total number of dwellings from 49 to 41, made up of 25 town houses, 12 apartments and four mews properties.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 3, 4, 7 and 12 – and no-one won the jackpot prize. This will now be rolled over to next week. A £25 consolation prize went to a hospital visitor.

Extension approved
PLANS for a single storey extension, first floor balcony and new detached double garage at a house in Eagle Brow, Lymm have been given the go-ahead. The scheme will involve removal of an existing garage.

Memorial concert
MEMBERS of the Halle Orchestra and friends will perform the seventh annual Roy Harrison Memorial Concert at Culcheth Sports Club, Charnock Road, Culcheth on Monday, November 14. The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Newton and District Jubilee and all proceeds go to Rotary charities.

Autumn fair
HOOD Manor Methodist Church holds an Autumn Fair today (Saturday) when there will be various stalls, refreshments and activities. Admission is free and doors open at 2pm.

Volunteer wanted
MARRIAGE Care, a charity aiming to help support marriage, relationships and family life and based at St Joseph’s Family Centre, Museum Street, Warrington, is seeking a voluntary head with management experience, enthusiasm and a few hours a week to spare.
