FIRE crews were called to a bowls club at Warrington last night after a timber shed was set alight.
Police are investigating the incident at a bowling green off Orford Lane.
Severe damage was caused to the floor of the building and fire crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
In a separate incident, youths are believed to have set fire to a number of wheeled bins on playing fields near Poplars Avenue, Orford.
