Town back in action

WARRINGTON Town will be back in action next Tuesday evening whatever the outcome of Newcastle Town’s FA Trophy match at the weekend.
Following discussions with the league it has been decided not to postpone next Tuesday’s home league clash with Trafford at Cantilever Park, until the outcome of Newcastle’s cup game with Stafford Rangers is known on Saturday.
If Newcastle draw, it will mean they replay on the Tuesday evening, allowing Warrington’s home league game to take place as scheduled.
But if Newcastle win or lose on Saturday, it means Warrington’s league game will have to be postponed, with the Wire travelling to Newcastle in the 2nd round of the Doodson Sports Cup.
Warrington have a blank weekend this Saturday after being knocked out of the FA Trophy in the preliminary round.
