Smoke alarm saves house

0

A SMOKE alarm alerted a householder to a blaze in the kitchen at their home in Warrington.
The blaze was at a house in Ross Close, Great Sankey and left the kitchen badly smokelogged.
By the time fire crews reached the scene the fire was out. But they used a heavy duty ventilation unit to clear smoke from the premises.
The house had recently undergone a home safety assessment from the fire service and the smoke alarms fitted at the time alerted the occupant.
Two fire engines attended the blaze. No-one was hurt
