Council bungalows unveiled

TEN two-bed bungalows are to be unveiled at Warrington today (Tuesday) – with a special welcome for the new tenants.
The properties in Sealand Close, Blackbrook represent the final phase of a programme of 32 bungalows built with funding of £1.95 million from the Homes and Communities Agency and the borough council.
The majority have been let to local elderly residents who have moved out of larger homes to make them available for re-letting to families on the housing register.
The new tenants will be welcomed by the Mayor, Cllr Mike Biggin and Cllr David Keane, the council’s executive member with responsibility for housing options.

  1. When you are moving into a new house, do you really need to have the Mayor and a councillor turning it into a circus? It’s a pity that they haven’t more important things to do.

  2. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but they are lovely bungalows and very well worth showing off.

There are so many features and energy saving devices that I believe they are a model development.

I’m very glad that my bowling opponent Mayor Mike turned up to see for himself. I’m not sure if he was smiling because he was very pleased with what he saw or if he was remembering his crown green bowls victory recently at Victoria Park. lol
