ARSONISTS and vandals were active at Warrington during the night, with fire crews being called out a number of times to deal with minor “nuisance” blazes.
Residents in the White Street area were advised to keep bins in a safe place after arsonists set one alight around 5.20am today – the latest in a series of bin fires in the area in recent weeks.
Police are investigating an incident in Lysander Drive, off Hilden Road, Padgate when a motor scooter was set alight.
Fire crews raced to the scene but the scooter was a complete burn out.
In another incident, vandals set fire to a skip in Reaper Close, Great Sankey.
Fire crews used hose reel jets to tackle all the incidents.
