Church appeal for food aid!

PEOPLE in Stockton Heath and Appleton are being urged to help a “Foodbank” programme which provides emergency packs for those in need.
St Thomas’ Church, Stockton Heath, and St Mary Magdalene’s, Appleton, have joined the service which operates from Birchwood Community Church.
Each pack contains three days food and menu cards to assist those in need identified by organisations such as the CAB and Sure Start.
The two churches hope to start the scheme in November and are asking parishioners to provide suitable gifts in their Harvest donation, such as tinned or dried goods.
