Extra bedrooms refused

A PLANNING inspector has thrown out an appeal by a Burtonwood resident against the refusal by Warrington Borough Council to grant permission for raising the roof level of a house to install two additional bedrooms.
He has ruled that the alterations to the house in Melrose Avenue, Burtonwood would be unacceptably dominant and overbearing, resulting in an oppressive outlook for a neighbouring property.
In addition, three new bedroom windows would directly overlook the garden of a house in Eastwood Road, resulting in overlooking and loss of privacy.
