Petrol tanker blaze

FIRE crews from Warrington were called to the intersection of the M56 and M6 at Lymm when fire broke out involving an articulated petrol tanker.
The blaze turned out to be cause by an overheated rear nearside brake and firefighters used a cooling spray to tackle the problem. Police and the Highways Agency also attended the incident.
In a separate incident, fire crews went to Blackbrook Avenue, Warrington, where a car was on fire. They used a hosereel jet to extinguish the flames. Police controlled traffic during the incident.
