Man in court on drugs charge

A 53-year-old man was appearing before magistrates at Warrington this afternoon charged with possessing Class A and B drugs with intent to supply.
The man, from Exeter, in Devon, was stopped while driving a van on the M56 near Warrington.
He was also charged with using the van without insurance.
Police said a motorway patrol stopped the white Vauxhall Combo van on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway at Hatton at 11.30am yesterday (Thursday)
A large quantity of what is believed to be class A and class B drugs were found in the vehicle.
