Candles blamed for house fire

CANDLES in a bedroom are believed to have started a fire at a house at Appleton, Warrington last night.
The blaze was at a house in Greenfield Avenue and firefighters from Warrington, wearing breathing apparatus, used two hosereel jets to fight the flames. The occupants of the house had escaped unhurt before the fire service reached the scene.
The fire was contained to one room but there was smoke damage to the rest of the house.
