Wolves getting bigger and better!

The home of your Warrington Wolves is getting even bigger with expansion plans for the Halliwell Jones stadium now well under way.
By filling in two corners of the ground the capacity will be increased to 15,000 and the club say it is all down to their loyal fans.
Since the Wolves moved to the new stadium back in 2004 their support has been unfaltering and has continued to grow.
This support and the on-field success has resulted in the need to expand the ground.
This year has seen a number of club and player records broken in front of a packed out stadium. The team is guaranteed to finish in first or second this year which is the
highest placed finish since the start of Super League.
Chief executive Andy Gatcliffe said: “Yet again, our fans have shown support for their team and their club with growing match-day attendances this year and with ‘sold-out’ games predicted against Wigan, St Helens and in 2012……Widnes, the need to expand the stadium capacity to meet fans’ demands is therefore a priority.
“The ‘template’ Halliwell Jones Stadium, having sport, health and educational provisions for the borough-wide community, continues to lead the way as the best all-round quality Rugby League stadium in the game.”
