A PERFORMANCE space at Warrington’s Pyramid arts centre is to be renamed the Postlethwaite studio, in tribute to the late actor Pete Postlethwaite (pictured).
It will be officially opened at 6pm on Friday, August 26 in the presence of members of the Warrington-born actor’s family.
Guests will be greeted with live brass music and there will be speeches by the leader of the borough council, Cllr Terry O’Neill, and a member of the family.
There will then be a short dance performance and entertainment by local performers.
Cllr Kate Hannon, the council’s executive member for leisure, community and culture, said: “Pete Postlethwaite always made Warrington proud through his distinguished work and immeasurable talent. I am thrilled that we can pay tribute to him in this way.”
