Traffic hold-ups warning for RL fans

0

RUGBY League fans travelling to Warrington for the crucial Wolves v Wigan Warriors match on Sunday, September 4 have been warned to give themselves extra time for their journey.
A big crowd is expected at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and there could be hold-ups on the A49 Winwick Road because of road works.
Major road improvements are being carried out at the junction with the A50 Long Lane and also at the new junction on Winwick Road for the Orford Park project.
There will be no lane closures on the day of the match but the flow of traffic will be slower than usual owing to traffic cones and barriers that will be in the general area of the works.
As a result fans, in particular those travelling in from Wigan, are being advised to either seek alternative routes or allow extra time to make their journey to the game.
Further information on the roadworks is available at: www.warrington.gov.uk/roadworks
