Pets on parade!

PROUD youngsters took their much-loved pets to Walton Hall Gardens for a Small Animal Pet Show and Animal Charity Day.
Judges looked at the range of animals including rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters assessing criteria such as the fluffiest pet or the shiniest coat for the first ever Children’s Zoo pet show.
Zoo ranger Liz Rowlands said: “It was great to see so many children out with their pets who were so well cared for and loved.
“I was glad I didn’t have to choose the winners as they were all lovely animals.”
Winners received rosettes, goody bags and tickets to Chester Zoo, Knowsley Safari Park or Martin Mere.
There were also stalls from the Cat’s Protection League, RSPB, PDSA and Hedgehog Society to help raise some money for good causes.
