Make a will – for charity's sake!

ONE of Europe’s top cancer centres – Manchester’s Christie Hospital – is urging Warrington people to make a will and help the charity.
The charity has launched its second annual Make a Will Week and has joined forces with Widdows Mason solicitors, of Warrington, to offer a standard will-writing and updating service free of charge in return for a donation to the charity.
A charity spokesperson said: “Normally a will can cost between £60 and £150 so it’s a great way to save money while safeguarding loved ones.”
Money raised will go towards supporting world-class research and patient treatment at The Christie cancer centre. Last year 120 people made a will and donated £7,000 to the charity.
Make a Will Week runs from the September 19 to 23 and there are more than 65 participating solicitors throughout the North West.
Each year the charity supports 44,000 cancer patients treated at The Christie.
