Runners invited to join half marathon

RUNNERS are being invited to take the challenge and join in a half marathon in Warrington on Sunday September 18
The Spire Healthcare English Half Marathon which starts at 9am at Victoria Park is set to be bigger and better than ever according to organisers.
It is known as The People’s Challenge as runners of all abilities can take part. Runners need to be aged 17 or over and can choose to run the whole 13 miles themselves or to do it as a team relay with a partner.
Spectators are also invited and there are a range of attractions on the day.
Leader of Warrington Borough Council Terry O’ Neill said: “We are proud to be a partner in the third English Half Marathon hosted in Warrington. The past two years were a huge success and this year’s event is all set to be bigger and better than ever.
“If you enjoy running why not take part in the challenge and sign up today? Whether you’re running on behalf of a charity or for a sense of personal achievement, taking part will be an experience you will never forget.”
