Twin fires at skateboard park

FIRE crews were twice called to a skate park in Alder Lane, Warrington last night after fire broke out involving dried grass alongside the park.
Children playing with matches were blamed for both incidents which led to smoke drifting across the skate park. No serious damage was caused.
Firefighters were also caused to Risley Prison when fire broke out in a cell, involving a quantity of plastic. No-one was hurt.
Other calls over the weekend include one to a house in Cromdale Way, Great Sankey where a child playing with matches was blamed for starting a small bedroom fire which was out by the time crews reached the scene.
There was also a fire at a Spar Shop in Gorse Covert Road, Birchwood. The blaze involved a chiller unit and was out by the time firefighters arrived.
