WARRINGTON Wolves have announced the signing of Daniel Bridge from Wigan Warriors while Salford boss Matt Parish has confirmed young stand-off Stefan Ratchford is also on his way to the Halliwell Jones.
Back Rower Danny, 18, is the brother of Wolves’ centre Chris Bridge and is looking forward to joining Chris at the club.
While the Wolves have still not officially confirmed the capture of Ratchford, Parish has revealed the youngster has signed for the Wolves after turning down a contract extension at the Willows.
Danny played for amateur side Waterhead before joining Wigan in 2009. He has played for the Warriors under 18s and under 20s academy sides as well as representative rugby for England at under 15 and under 18 levels.
The signing of Danny is another example of the club investing in its future, bringing young British talent into the system here at Warrington.
Richard Marshall, Wolves’ First Team Assistant Coach and Under 20s Head Coach, said: “We’ve been aware of Danny over the last couple of years and he’s an exciting prospect. He’s represented England Academy and we are aware of his many capabilities. He will complement the existing juniors at the club and we look forward to working with him.”
