Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 8, 10, 12 and 15. The jackpot went unclaimed and a £25 consolation prize went to a hospital visitor.

Appeal lost
AN appeal against Warrington Borough Council’s refusal to grant planning consent for a two story extension and loft conversion at a house in Windmill Hill, Appleton has been rejected by an independent inspector.

Car boot sale
A CAR boot sale will be held at the Rope and Anchor public house at Woolston, Warrington on Saturday, July 9 to help raise money for volunteers from the Warrington Wolves Foundation to travel on a mercy mission to Gambia.

Summer fair
A SUMMER fair will be held at St Anne’s CE Primary School, Orford, Warrington on Thursday July 7 with tombola, face painting, a bouncy castle, teacup ride, swing boats and music from the school choir. Refreshments will be available and the event starts at 2.30pm.

Open day
AN open day is to be held at Warrington’s historic Walton Hall tomorrow (Sunday) between 11am and 4pm. Members of the Friends of Walton Estate will answer questions about the hall and its gardens. Refreshments will be available from the bar.
