Pensions strike will close 50 schools

MORE than 50 schools across Warrington will be closed or partially closed on Thursday as a result of teachers taking part in a national strike by public sector workers over pensions.
The borough council says not all schools have yet indicated whether they will be hit by the dispute or not – but they have set up a website which will be updated as and when information becomes available.
So far, the following schools have said they will be completely closed:
Appleton Thorn Primary, Culcheth Primary, Dallam Primary, Glazebury CE (Aided) Primary, Locking Stumps Primary, Lymm High, Lysander High, Penketh Primary, Penketh High, Penketh South Primary, Sacred Heart Catholic Primary, Sandy Lane Nursery, Sankey Valley St James CE Primary, Sir Thomas Boteler Church of England High, St Benedict’s Catholic Primary, St Gregory’s Catholic High, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary, St Oswald’s Catholic Primary, St Peter’s Catholic Primary, St Philip’s (Westbrook) CE Aided Primary, St Thomas’ CE Primary, Warrington St Ann’s CE Primary, Warrington St Barnabas’ CE Primary, Westbrook Old Hall Primary, William Beamont High.
The following schools will remain partially open:
Barrow Hall Primary, Beamont Primary, Bewsey Lodge Primary, Birchwood High, Bradshaw Primary, Bridgewater High, Broomfields Junior, Bruche Primary, Burtonwood Primary, Cherry Tree Primary, Christ Church CE Primary, Culcheth High, Evelyn Street Primary, Gorse Covert Primary, Grappenhall Heys Primary, Grappenhall St Wilfrid’s CE Primary, Great Sankey High, Great Sankey Primary, Green Lane Special, Latchford St James CE Primary, Oakwood Avenue Primary, Penketh South Primary, Ravenbank Primary, St Alban’s Catholic Primary, St Andrew’s CE Primary, St Elphin’s (Fairfield) CE Voluntary Aided Primary, St Margaret’s CE Voluntary Aided Primary, St Monica’s Catholic Primary, St Paul of the Cross Catholic Primary, St Vincent’s Catholic Primary, Statham Primary, Sycamore Lane Primary, The Cobbs Infant.
The followings schools will be open as usual:
