Woman trapped in three-car crash

A WOMAN was trapped in a car after a three-vehicle pile-up at Warrington.
Fire crews went to the scene in Whittle Hall Lane, Great Sankey and used cutting gear to release the woman.
She was taken to hospital by ambulance.
In a separate incident, fire crews from Warrington and Birchwood were called to a house where fire had broken out in the kitchen.
The property was in Coronation Avenue, Glazebury and the blaze was caused by food left on an unattended cooker.
By the time crews reached the scene, the fire was out. No-one was hurt.
