Men robbed in the street

DETECTIVES at Warrington are appealing for information following two street robberies in the town.
Two men – one aged 27 and the other 19 – were robbed in separate incidents in Dallam Lane and Bewsey Road. Cash and a mobile phone were stolen.
The first incident was shortly after midnight on June 14.
A 27-year-old man was walking along Dallam Lane, near to the back of the Tesco store, when three offenders dressed in black approached him saying they had a knife and demanded money.
One offender punched the victim to the face causing a small cut to his forehead and stole his wallet, £25 in cash and a mobile phone. The offenders fled the scene towards Dallam.
The Bewsey Road incident was June 15 at around 1.25am. The 19-year-old victim had been using the cash machine at the Co-op store on Lovely Lane near the Cross public house.
He walked down Bewsey Road but notice four men come out of an alleyway at the back of the chip shop opposite the cash machine.
One of the men started to run behind him and tried to punch him but he managed to duck out of the way.
The victim fled with the men running after him and the money fell from his pocket. The offenders picked it up and ran off.
Police say they were dressed in black and believed to be in the 18-25 age group.
