Raid on Co-op store

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a Co-op store in Warrington.
The raid was at the store in Cherry Lane, Lymm and involved four men wearing balaclavas and armed with a wheel brace.
They burst in shortly before 10pm on Monday, ordered staff and customers to lie on the floor and took cash from the till and a large quantity of cigarettes from behind the counter.
All four then fled, carrying the cigarettes in a large black sack and driving off in a small, silver hatchback along Cherry Lane in the direction of the motorway.
Police are seeking information from anyone who witnessed the incident.
