Labour launches On Your Street

LABOUR campaigners have launched an “On Your Street” project in the Culcheth, Glazebury and Croft area and plan to visit every house during the next 12 months.
Warrington North Labour Party launched the campaign after an improved showing in the May elections.
Party spokesman for the area Chris Vobe, wants the party to reconnect with voters in the villages.
Local councillors and Warrington North MP Helen Jones will also join in the campaign and will speak to people about their priorities for the area.
Chris said: “The ‘On Your Street’ scheme launched in Newchurch, to a fantastic reception. Despite the wind and the light showers, there were good spirits all round, by my volunteers and the public alike.
“It is always a pleasure to meet people in the villages and talk to them about our community. We knocked on every door, and where people weren’t in, we left behind a form that they can send back to us for free. So even if you miss us, you will still have the chance to give us your views in a number of ways.”

  1. Nothing wrong with a bit of community involvment as it’s a way of them finding out what people want, don’t want or any problems/issues in an area which can be reported back. Not that anything will probably be done about it but it’s nice to be asked 🙂

  2. All the time and effort to find out what the people want; only for the results to be gathered and the people to be ignored and for the politicians to follow their own agendas as they always do
