Home extension refused

A PLANNING inspector has thrown out an appeal by a Warrington resident against the refusal of planning permission for a home extension.
Borough council planners originally refused consent for the extension in Crosby Avenue, Warrington.
The owner appealed – but an inspector has backed the council’s original decision.
He says the extension would extend beyond the establishing building line, reduce openness next to the highway and disrupt the pattern of existing development.
It would be an unwelcome and obtrusive additional, he said – and as there would be no turning space on the property, vehicles would have to perform a hazardous reversing operation onto Crosby Avenue.
