Running to raise money!

0

A UNIQUE running event is being held in Warrington which will allow people to raise money for their own organisation.
Organisers will give local, unemployed young people the chance to get involved in the management and undertake a BTEC qualification in Sport and Active Leisure.
The Warrington 5k Legacy Event will be held at Victoria Park, Knutsford Road, on Sunday June 12 from 10am.
It is one of a series of “legacy” events organised by Active Synergy and The Co-operative Society – aimed at enabling local people to leave a legacy for their community.
Each competitor runs for a club or voluntary group of their choice, and every penny raised goes to their organisation. Entrants can run, jog or walk the course.
Anyone over the age of 12 can enter, although younger entrants need parental consent.
