LOCAL camera enthusiast Chris Rose has been named winner of the second annual photography competition organised by Bents Garden and Home.
The competition attracted 931 entries, Chris’s shot of a Culcheth Winter Sunset was shortlisted and attracted most votes among visitors to Bents’ restaurant.
He said: “I’ve had a growing interest in photography for a long time now and have a particular passion for nature shots; capturing that one moment in time and being able to record it for others to enjoy. There were some stunning shortlisted shots in the competition so I am delighted that my image stood out and received the most votes.”
Matthew Bent, managing director of Bents said: “The quality and number of entries in this year’s competition was incredible. We found it so hard shortlisting from over 900 to just 20 so were glad to hand the responsibility for the final result to our customers! All of the shortlisted images were excellent but Chris’s atmospheric shot of a local beauty spot was a really deserving winner.”
Chris was presented with £50 worth of Bents vouchers and a famed copy of his winning image. Other images taken by Chris can be viewed at www.chrisrosephotography.co.uk
