Crossing danger
STOCKTON Heath Parish Council is to express concern to Warrington Borough Council over road safety dangers to children crossing Ackers Road on the way to school, following complaints from local residents.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 6, 10, 15 and 16. The jackpot prize was not claimed but a £25 consolation prize went to a member of hospital staff.

Cricket signs
TWO non-illuminated signs can be erected at Stretton Cricket Club’s sports pavilion, at Beamish Close, Appleton, Warrington planners have decided.

Scouts celebrate
FORMER scouts and scout leaders from the 16th Warrington (Burtonwood) Scout Group are celebrating the group’s 35th anniversary between 2pm and 6pm today (Saturday).

Walk the walk
PARK rangers are organising a three-mile walk at Culcheth Linear Park on Wednesday, May 25 from 1.30pm. There will also be a small exhibition of photographs of when the park was a railway line in the ranger cabin.

Tattoo studio
PLANS to change the use of a shop at The Courtyard, Common Lane, Culcheth, to a tattoo studio have been given the go-ahead by Warrington planners.
