An evening of music – and memories.

WARRINGTON Male Voice Choir will be joined by the Leyland Band for a special evening of choral and brass music on Saturday May 21.
As well as being a great night for music, the ‘Gwahoddiad – the invitation’ concert at the Parr Hall will also remember former choir secretary and vice president Angus Thorburn, who died last October, after a long illness.
Bob Williams, who will be hosting the evening, said: “The evening will be a great welcome home for the choir, having recently returned from a concert tour to the Isle of Man where they raised £5,000 for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity (Royal Centre for Defence Medicine Fund).
“We’re also delighted we will be joined by Angus’s family and friends, not to mention the superb Richard Evans who will be conducting the band, with his well known style and charisma.
“All in all it promises to be a great night”.
Although there is considerable interest in the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, tickets priced at just £10 are still available from Ralph Cooper on 01925 263951.
