Roads to be resurfaced

A SERIES of roads will be temporarily closed in Warrington to allow United Utilities to carry out resurfacing work.
The closures in Penketh will be effective from Monday May 23 for about three weeks.
Closures will affect Maple Crescent (from numbers 39 to 65), Thorn Close (from its junction with Maple Crescent to its junction with Kirkwall Drive), Chapel Road (from Launceston Drive to Ditchfield Road) and Tannery Lane (from Newlyn Gardens to outside property number 25).
The alternative routes will be signed on site in accordance with each phase of the works.

  1. Presumably UU are being forced to resurface roads they have previously damaged, in which case the roads will be worse than before they were resurfaced!
