FUNDS raised by a Warrington youth club’s bucket collection will be used to improve their base and for summer activities.
The youth group, from Fearnhead Cross Youth and Community Centre, raised £171 by a three-hour bucket collection at B&Q, Delph Lane, Winwick.
The group, which meets on Mondays from 7pm to 9.30pm, is open to young people aged 13 to 19. It is a free service run by Warrington Borough Council Youth Service.
Activities range from body zorbing to arts and crafts, together with information sessions and the chance to relax with friends.
Youth worker Kathryn Louis said: “The great thing about this youth club is that the youth workers really work hard to challenge the stigma attached to young people, by showing that they can be active and valuable members of their community.”
