HOUSEHOLDS in Warrington’s which have still not returned their census forms can expect a visit from officials this week.
While census forms have been flooding in since March 27, there are still many households who have not returned their forms.
Sarah Nancollas, assistant census liaison manager for Warrington, said: “Although Warrington overall is doing very well in terms of returns there are slight concerns in the central areas, including the town centre and Bewsey.
“The census collectors from Office of National Statistics (ONS) will be re-visiting households until this Friday May 6 in an attempt to collect as many forms as possible.”
Households that fail to complete their census form will be visited by an ONS representative. Officers will explain that as it is a legal requirement action could be taken if they fail to complete the form. The penalty for not completing the census is a fine of £1,000.
Ms Nancollas said: “It is important that everyone takes part in the 2011 census as it informs the way public services allocate funds for transport, schools, healthcare and housing for example over the next decade.”

“Action could be taken”…….. err no, Action SHOULD be taken against those who have filled in the census like the rest of us have to; so fine them all the £1,000.00 if the don’t……
