15 trees ablaze at garden centre

FIRE crews were called to a blaze at a garden centre near Warrington involving a row of 20ft high conifer trees.
The fire was at High Legh Garden Centre and broke out in the early afternoon yesterday (Thursday).
Fifteen trees were well alight when the first appliance, from Stockton Heath, arrived at the scene. A second appliance, from Knutsford was called to assist with the supply of water.
Crews remained at the scene for most of the rest of the afternoon to ensure the blaze had been extinguished and to carry out damping down operations.
The cause has not been revealed.
