A SCIENCE Magic Show complete with bangs, flashes and explosions was one of the highlights of a week of high-tech activities at Priestley College, Warrington.
Science and Engineering Week was marked with a range of workshops and seminars.
The headline “magic” workshop was run by Manchester University and Doctor Andrew Thomas performed the show.
Elsewhere in the college students learned about careers in software engineering, electronics and computing consultancy.
Electronics students showcased work they had completed during the academic year. Visitors from Astra Zenica and the Environment Agency told students about the career possibilities connected with chemical engineering.
Tutor Steven Nixon said: “Science and Engineering Week really passed off well, with all the students engaged by a range of new and interesting subjects.
“It was particularly pleasing to welcome in a number of people from outside organisations who were able to relate the ways in which our students can use their qualifications in the future.”
