Grass fires spreads to factory

A GRASS fire which got out of control at Warrington caused damage to the rear of an industrial unit.
The blaze was in Station Road, Latchford last night and spread to involve undergrowth and hedgerows.
Fire crews from Stockton Heath and Warrington tackled the fire with a hosereel jet.
Superficial damage was caused to the rear of a light industrial unit and police were called to assist in gaining access to enable firefighters to check the blaze had not spread inside.
