A LIONS club has come to the aid of a Warrington couple who have triplets who have suffered from ill health throughout their three short years of life.
Stockton Heath Lions have stepped in to help Beverley and Andrew Cunningham, of Ellesmere Road, Walton, who face transportation problems taking two of their youngsters for hospital check-ups.
Triplets Sam, Ben and Joe had health problems when they were born.
Sam is now in good health, after being on a life support machine when only five weeks old.
But Ben and Joe have continuing problems, having been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder which only three other youngsters in the world are known to suffer from.
Beverley and Andrew have to take them for regular hospital check-ups and were having transportation problems.
Stockton Heath Lions, via Twins UK Ltd, have come to their aid by providing a new, all-purpose buggy designed specifically to suit the two lads until they are five or six years old.
Dorothy Carter, president of Stockton Heath Lions, presenting the pram to the Cunninghams, said ” This is what the Lions are about – being able to give support to someone in the community and allow them to get on with their lives”.
