Unattended cooker causes fire

A HOUSE was left heavily smokelogged at Warrington after a fire involving food left unattended on a cooker.
The blaze was at a property in Lovely Lane and fire crews went to the scene yesterday after neighbours raised the alarm when they saw smoke billowing from windows.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the house and extinguished the fire using hosereel jets. They also isolated gas and electricity supplies and used a ventilation unit to disperse smoke. No-one was hurt.
