Replacement house
PLANS for a two storey detached house in Hoy Hey Lane, Culcheth, to replace an existing house on the site, have been approved by Warrington planning chiefs.

Tax collections
COLLECTION of Council Tax and business rates in Warrington are on track and above target for the end of the last quarter of the year, according to the Borough Council. The third quarter saw a significant improvement in collection rates compared to the same period last year.

Hospital lottery
AN unprecedented five winners shared the jackpot prize in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital – receiving just £44 each. Winning numbers were 2, 7, 9 and 15. A consolation prize of £25 was awarded to a member of hospital staff.

New homes
A TOTAL of 187 new houses were completed in Warrington in three months – the highest level since quarterly monitoring began in 2009.

Signs approved
PLANNING chiefs have given the go-ahead for seven internally illuminated signs at the Travelodge on the Gemini Business Park at Westbrook, Warrington.

Singers wanted
A COMMUNITY choir which meets every Tuesday evening at The Friend’s Meeting House, Buttermarket Street, Warrington is looking for new members.
