Crime that was no yoke!

STRANGE crimes in Stockton Heath included someone trying to steal garden lights not realising they were connected to cables, and a man smashing an egg on someone’s head.
Police Community Support Officer Ben Blandford said during the course of one month, crimes included three vehicles broken into, a shoplifting incident and four acts of criminal damage including windows smashed at Sandy Lane Centre.
There was an attempted burglary at the Royal British Legion, where a window was smashed.
Three thefts were reported, including the garden lights, and a bike taken from outside a village pub. The assault with an egg was reported in a shop.
There was one incident of drugs and nine anti-social behaviour incidents – including cars racing on Ellesmere Road and a woman who was drunk and disorderly.
