Wolves say show your true colours!

WARRINGTON Wolves are urging people to wear their primrose and blue scarves with pride when Leeds Rhinos come to The Halliwell Jones Stadium this Saturday, March 5, kick-off at 5.45pm and at the same time provide a boost for local charities.
For every ‘Show Your True Colours’ scarf sold up until the Leeds game a donation will be made to charity, distributed between Help For Heroes, the Wolves Charitable Foundation and St Rocco’s Hospice.
Local businesses can also play their part by purchasing scarves for their staff, matching the donation to be made from the sale of the scarves up until the game, or simply by making a donation to the three worthy causes via the club.
The ‘Show Your True Colours’ scarves are just £3 each so join coach Tony Smith, the players and Wolfie in ‘Showing Your True Colours’ and support these very worthy charities.
Sgt Alan Boyle of the 1 Mercian Regiment said: “Thank you to the club for their support last season and we look forward to keeping this relationship going. This is a fantastic idea and a great way to raise some money and show support for the club, the troops and the other charities, so please get out there and buy your scarf.
Money raised for Help For Heroes is also distributed amongst many military charities including Combat Stress and BLESMA (british limbless ex-service men’s association).”
Claire Houghton, Appeals Manager St Rocco’s Hospice, said: We are delighted to have been chosen as one of the charities, and are thankful and grateful for everyone showing their support. Any donations made will go on to help the outreach service St Rocco’s at Home starting in April which will take the services of St Rocco’s into the homes of people in the community.”
Neil Kelly, Wolves Foundation Director, added: “This is a great initiative and any money donated will help us to continue our work in the community encompassing sport, health and education.”
Businesses wanting to ‘Show Their True Colours’ can get scarves delivered free of charge to their offices by Wolfie and get their photo taken of them showing their support.
