Drug dealer loses £1,500

A COURT has confiscated almost £1,500 from a Warrington under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
James Stockton, 25, of Stockton Heath – who was jailed for 18 months on February 15 for possessing cocaine with intent to supply – was ordered to pay £1,477.57.
Stockton, of Ellesmere Road, was arrested in Warrington town centre last year after being found in possession of two bags of cocaine.
Officers seized the drug along with £785.57 in cash.
A search was later carried out at his home and further drugs and drugs paraphernalia were seized.
Stockton was subsequently convicted at Warrington Crown Court
A Proceeds of Crime Act hearing was held later and the judge ruled that Stockton had benefited from his crime to the sum of £1,477.57 and that the whole amount should be forfeited.
