Newsletter grant
A GRANT of £40 has been given by Stockton Heath Parish Council towards the cost of a newsletter in the village produced by the warden at Alexandra Park.
Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 7, 12, 13 and 15. The jackpot prize went unclaimed and will be rolled over to next week. A £25 consolation prize went to a member of hospital staff.
Re-appointed
NHS Warrington non-executive director Sue Antrobus, a former nurse, has been re-appointed to the board of the Primary Care Trust. Her appointment will last until the planned dissolution of primary care trusts in 2013.
Testing mast
PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have given the go-ahead for the erection of a 70m high wind testing mast at Omega South, off Orion Boulevard, Warrington for a temporary period of 12 months
Extension approved
PLANNERS have approved the construction of a two-storey side extension, including an integral garage and front porch at a house in Sandy Lane, Stockton Heath, Warrington. A single storey rear extension was also approved.
Meditation classes
THE Odiyana Buddhist Centre is running a seven week course on meditation at the Dallam Centre, Dallam Lane, Warrington starting on March 2. Classes start at 7.30pm
