Diane makes MP her Valentine!

OXFAM campaigner Diane Porter made Warrington South MP David Mowat her Valentine this year – by sending him a giant Valentine card to thank him for his support for the Climate Fund, which helps people in poverty suffering from climate change.
The mother-of-two from Lymm delivered the card to the MP at his constituency office in Warrington.
The Climate Fund was agreed at December’s climate talks in Cancun, Mexico, which was attended by Energy and Climate Change Secretary Chris Huhne.
Mr Mowat has offered his support for the fund.
Diane said: “I’m really pleased that David is supporting the global Climate Fund. People are already suffering from the effects of climate change and it is the poorest who suffer the most.
“They are also the ones who are least able to do something about it. Money in this fund will save thousands of lives.”
Oxfam have an exciting new presence in South Warrington with a recently established fundraising group.
The group will be organising different events and activities throughout South Warrington and Lymm to raise funds for Oxfam’s work. Anyone who wants to join them should call 0161 234 2791.
