Wardens became local heroes

TWO Warrington Borough Council wardens became local heroes when they found a haul of stolen goods belonging to a resident who did not even known she had been burgled.
The neighbourhood wardens were patrolling in Longford when they found two new bikes, household bills and a bag full of tools.
They visited the address on the bills where the resident identified her property and said she had not even realised she had been burgled.
Cllr Liz Smith, the council’s executive member for neighbourhoods and communities, said: “Our neighbourhood wardens do a wonderful job in helping to keep our communities safe. This is another excellent example of the diverse work they do.”
The two wardens gave some security advice and fitted alarms at the resident’s home for reassurance before continuing with the day’s duties.

  1. While i think the wardens actions were commendable i wouldnt actually go as far as calling them heroes …… unless times have changed and the word hero doesnt have the same meaning anymore?

  2. good on the wardens……. but they should have told the family where their stuff was and allowed them to lie in wait until the scum bag robbers came back and then give them a damned good pasting
