A VAN driver was taken to hospital at Warrington after his vehicle overturned following a collision with a saloon car.
The crash was at the roundabout at the junction of Cromwell Avenue and Callands Road shortly before 10pm last night.
Fire crews were called to the scene and had to remove the windscreen from the van to release the driver, who was trapped.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance, with lacerations to his arm.
The car driver was unhurt.
A firefighter who attended the incident said: “The van overturned as a result of the collision and then rolled over.
“The main reason the driver went to hospital was for X-rays to determine if he had fragments of glass in his arm.”
