Town centre road to close

A BUSY town centre road will be closed temporarily to allow National Grid to carry out gas main renewal works.
Closures will affect Folly Lane, from its junction with Longshaw Street to its junction with Kerfoot Street, and Dallam Lane, from its junction with Folly Lane to its junction with Kerfoot Street.
The closure will be for about eight weeks from Saturday January 22, although it is anticipated that the closure on Folly Lane will only be in operation for two weeks.
The alternative route for Folly Lane will be via A57 Priestley Street, A57 Froghall Lane, A57 Midland Way, A49 Lythgoes Lane, A49 Winwick Road and vice versa.
A further alternative route for eastbound traffic on Folly Lane will be via Bewsey Road, Tanners Lane, Pinners Brow and A49 Winwick Road.
