JACK Worden, from Warrington, is celebrating after winning the Bentley Apprentice of the Year award.
The 17-year-old from Great Sankey, has just completed his first year of a three year apprenticeship as a vehicle service technician with Bentley Manchester in Knutsford and has impressed both his employer and college tutors to achieve the prestigious award.
Jack was chosen from all first year apprentices in more than 20 Bentley dealerships across the UK due to the quality of his work and his dedication to the job. Jack has excelled in every area of his work which involves shadowing qualified technicians on service, maintenance and repair jobs on a variety of prestigious Bentley models.
The award is testament to the training that Bentley Motors provides, with the Knutsford dealer producing an Apprentice of the Year for the last three years. Commenting on their success, managing director Jon Crossley said: “We are delighted that Jack has been selected for the award, he is a fantastic talent and we are looking forward to him completing his training with us and becoming a fully fledged member of the service team.”
Jack said: “I am delighted with the award and it is great to be rewarded for all the hard work I have put in this year. I did a motor mechanics course at school and loved every minute of it and it is the only industry I wanted to get into.”
