Two men rescued from house fire

TWO men were rescued from a house fire in Fearnhead, Warrington, early today.
The incident involved a sette catching fire at a house in Vulcan Close, Fearnhead, Warrington with reports that people were still inside the mid-terraced property.
Two appliances from Warrington and one from Birchwood arrived to find a fire in the ground floor involving a settee. One person had got out of the house by himself but two other people were still inside.
One crew wearing breathing apparatus led one male to safety from the ground floor while a second crew in BA went upstairs, located the other man and led him out of the property.
Crews then quickly put out the fire using a hose reel jet and then used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the house.
One person was taken to hospital as a precaution because of smoke inhalation and was due to be released later.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
